SPLITQUEST TERMS OF SERVICE

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using SPLITQUEST’s PDF Splitting services (“Service”), you (“User”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Agreement”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Enterprise users are subject to additional terms outlined in the Enterprise Service Agreement.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

SPLITQUEST provides a cloud-based solution that enables Users to:

  • Upload PDF files
  • Apply splitting instructions
  • Download processed results
  • Rename files dynamically using extracted content from the resulting split files
  • Customize file naming structures based on their preferences

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & SECURITY

  • Users must register an account to access the Service.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via authentication apps is an optional security feature that Users can enable for enhanced account protection.
  • Users are responsible for safeguarding their credentials and all activity under their account.

4. PRICING & PAYMENT

  • SPLITQUEST offers a flexible pricing model for the core splitting module, where users pay per page on a usage basis.
  • Enterprise users may subscribe to the core splitting model, at a predefined monthly page capacity (e.g., 25,000 or 40,000 pages per month) with tiered per-page pricing and up to 10 user seats. Additional seats can be requested and provisioned at an added cost.
  • If an enterprise user exceeds their allotted monthly capacity, additional usage will be charged at the standard pay-as-you-go rate.
  • Users who opt into the intelligent processing AI module (SplitAI) must prepay for credits before accessing its features.
  • All payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

5. DATA HANDLING & RETENTION POLICY

  • Files are encrypted in transit and at rest on AWS S3.
  • Uploaded files are automatically deleted within 3 days unless the User opts for immediate deletion after download.
  • Enterprise users may request customized Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) to comply with industry-specific regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other applicable data protection laws. These agreements can outline specific security measures, access controls, data retention policies, and processing terms to align with enterprise compliance needs.

6. USER RESPONSIBILITIES & RESTRICTIONS

Users agree NOT to:

  • Upload copyrighted, illegal, or unauthorized content.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or misuse SPLITQUEST’s technology.
  • Interfere with the Service’s security measures, including enterprise-grade security infrastructure, firewalls, and load-balancing systems hosted on a secure cloud platform.

7. ENTERPRISE SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT (SLA)

  • Enterprise users receive dedicated support and uptime guarantees outlined in their Enterprise Service Agreement.
  • Per-page pricing for Enterprise users adjusts based on their monthly commitment volume.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  • SPLITQUEST provides the Service “AS IS” and disclaims all warranties.
  • SPLITQUEST’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the User in the last 3 months.
  • SPLITQUEST is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including data loss.

9. TERMINATION

  • SPLITQUEST reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • Users may terminate their account at any time, but no refunds will be issued.

10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION/GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under it shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Hillsborough County, Florida, pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

By using SPLITQUEST’s services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Terms of Service.
